Seismic retrofitting construction case study [Gunma Prefecture, Shrine Assembly Hall]
Leave the leveling down construction to Tanaka Painting Co., Ltd.!
We handle everything from surface preparation to floor shaping in-house, ensuring consistent quality in our construction. Therefore, we are confident not only in the robustness of our work but also in our cost performance! <Problem> The existing concrete floor levels are uneven, with a height difference of 40mm between the highest and lowest points, resulting in varying levels throughout. We considered breaking up the entire area and pouring a leveler, but this did not align with the project timeline or budget, and we were asked to find a solution. <Solution/Method> We proposed a method where we would leave the lower areas untouched and only cut and polish the higher areas to reduce the height difference. Since the finish was to be carpet tiles, we ensured to maintain enough overlap for the carpet tiles while correcting the overall floor level to a standard of 10mm. <Result/Effect> We were able to deliver the project within the scheduled timeframe. Compared to breaking up the floor, there was less dust and reduced damage to the building, and we minimized the number of workers on-site, which was appreciated by the supervisor for ease of management! *For more information about our company, please refer to our catalog or feel free to contact us.*
